Home--finally!

We finally got back home tonight after leaving on the 4th to "vacation" in Colorado, North Dakota and Illinois.

We built a deck (and baby sat) in Colorado, packed a Budget truck in North Dakota, unloaded it in Illinois on the 20th/21st and spent an extra day making sure the motor would start on the bass boat. Then, we started home, antiquing and taking our time. We spent a few hours in the Murrell Motel and had dinner and conversation with Max before we all hit the sack.

We drove a total of 5,122 miles--we won't be doing that again! Flying is quicker, easier on the old bod and cheaper!!!

There may be some pix but Harv hasn't processed them yet.

Antiquing was a bust--found a milk glass lamp for Liz's room and bought a Foley demitasse cup for me. Once we got home we found what we were looking for--tables to use as bedtables in our room.

After Liz bought a Barbie with "moneys" from Grandma and Grandpa the girls spent a lot of time playing "Barbies". (some things never change--you and Kim probably did the same!) Amanda was bemoaning the fact that they didn't have a boy doll so Grandma suggested asking Santa for one. The next day Mom (Ellen) found a letter addressed to "Sanna" on her desk. "Dear Sanna, We want a boy Brbie, please. Lizie and me have ben good. Love Amanda Schmidt" Guess what Grandma and Grandpa are providing for Christmas?

Oh yeah, Amanda bought a "bug cage" with her "moneys".
