Hey everyone -
I'm just checking to see if anyone has any interesting news. Nothing new here. Mark and I took Megan & Mary to Sea World in SA for a couple of days. Whew - it was fun but glad to be home. We have a new rule about vacations - if you poop in your pants, you don't get to go! (Therefore Grant stayed home with Mark's mom and my mom.) We had a lot more fun than the last vacation we took when Meg was only 2 1/2 years old, had to have naps and yes, she still was pooping in her pants at the time!
Well - hope everyone is well. Miss ya!
Love to all!

I wonder why we never thought about going to Sea World when we were in TX? We made a couple of trips to SA but mostly only antiqued!
The excitement here is that Ellen and the girls will be coming at the end of the week. Well, we will be meeting them in Albuquerque so E won't have to try to handle a hotel stay without another adult. Then E will drive her car w/Rachael as passenger and Amanda and Lizzie will ride with Grandpa and Grandma (if she doesn't ride with E.) We'll do the same--in reverse--when they go home.
Other excitement--well, Harv's niece managed to fall asleep at the wheel, went off I-17 about 40 miles north of Phoenix last Monday night. She went down an embankment and wasn't found until 11 hours later--just about 7:30 a.m. She's going to require several surgeries--neck, knee, shoulder--but they have to wait until her blood is "built up" since her religion doesn't allow transfusions. But, she's doing pretty well, considering. She's going to learn that 51 doesn't heal as rapidly as 31, too.
Julie we always had kind of the same vacation rules. We didnt do any parks or anything like that when the kids were very little. Rachael tells people she was very deprived because she didnt get to sea world till she was like 14 because I wouldnt take Courtney till then.
But we actually took the girls to Sea World when Courtney was 3 (potty trained ;) ) She was still too young but Rachael really wanted to go. She fell asleep in her Shamu stroller and almost fell out.. and when we let her pet the dolphins she tried to climb right in the tank !! Go figure..it's Courtney right ? Bless her little brave heart ;)
Glad you had fun !!!
Pat! That's horrible news.
I hope she heals quickly, and her blood "builds up" soon. That's just so scary...
Kim, you forgot the whole 'Courtney trying to jump into the river from the boat' part of that trip!
Silly girl. Fearless, for sure!
It was a fun time, though, even with all that...
Julie, I'm glad y'all had a good time, and good for you to go so early in the year. SA is too damned hot in the summer!
